Turbo - Our School Tortoise

Meet Turbo!

Turbo is our young Horsefield Tortoise who joined our school community in September 2026. Since arriving, he has quickly become a much-loved member of the school.

One of the first jobs we had as a school was choosing a name for our new tortoise. Children from across the school put forward lots of fantastic suggestions, and after a whole-school vote, Turbo was the clear winner! His name perfectly matches his curious personality, even if, like most tortoises, he prefers to take life at his own pace.

Turbo plays an important role in our school community. He helps children learn about caring for living things, encourages responsibility, and provides many opportunities for discussion and learning. He has already made lots of friends and enjoys being the centre of attention whenever he makes an appearance around school.

We are delighted to have Turbo as part of our school family and look forward to watching him grow alongside our children for many years to come!
