The Umbrella Project
Water Primary School has joined The Neurodiversity Umbrella Project, an inspiring initiative that visually celebrates the diversity of minds across the UK. We are proud to have created our vibrant rainbow display in the school hall, representing the one in five people who have a neurodevelopmental condition such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, or Tourette’s syndrome. These conditions are all part of what is known as neurodiversity.
Our aim is to change perceptions of neurodiverse and neurodivergent individuals and to celebrate the incredible strengths that come from thinking differently. As well as looking fantastic, the umbrellas have sparked many meaningful conversations about neurodiversity.
It’s been a wonderful way to promote understanding, inclusion, and positivity within our school community.
