    Protected Characteristics

At our school, we are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child is valued, respected and supported to achieve their full potential.

We celebrate diversity and actively promote equality through our curriculum, school values and everyday practice. We believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, experiences or individual needs.

Our school promotes the Protected Characteristics identified in the Equality Act 2010:

    • Age
    • Disability
    • Gender Reassignment
    • Marriage and Civil Partnership
    • Pregnancy and Maternity
    • Race
    • Religion or Belief
    • Sex
    • Sexual Orientation

We help pupils develop an understanding of equality, respect and inclusion through age-appropriate learning, assemblies, stories, discussions and enrichment opportunities. We encourage children to celebrate differences, challenge stereotypes and understand that everyone has the right to feel safe, valued and included.

    Our Commitment

    We are committed to:

    • Providing an inclusive environment where all pupils can thrive.
    • Promoting respect, kindness and understanding.
    • Celebrating diversity within our school and wider community.
    • Identifying and removing barriers to learning and participation.
    • Supporting pupils with additional needs through appropriate adaptations and reasonable adjustments.
    • Working closely with families, staff and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need.
    • Fostering a culture where discrimination, prejudice and bullying are not tolerated.

We are proud to be a school where every child is welcomed, encouraged and supported to succeed.

We are a small school with a big heart. ❤️
