KS1 at Kenton's Wood
What is Forest School?
Forest School was a learning approach originated in Scandinavia in the early 1900s as a method of teaching children using the natural world. Forest School sessions are pupil led and take place in Kenton's Wood, which is located just behind the school. Coming to Kenton's Wood regularly develops children’s independence and self- confidence. They learn how to solve problems and overcome difficulties such as feeling cold, getting muddy, and how to care for our very important, slimy, wriggly creatures!
